I do as much with Paul in 30 minutes as I would do in a gym for an hour.
How does training with Paul compare to other personal training you've done in the past?
Paul is more mature than other trainers I've worked with in the past and he knows when to push and when not to. With Paul, I get 100% out of my training.
How would you describe your training sessions with Paul?
I really enjoy the sessions. I do a half hour workout and it's so enjoyable and fun that it seems like it's only been 10 minutes before it's over. The workouts themselves are brilliant and I do as much with Paul in 30 minutes as I would do in a gym for an hour. I also enjoy the music. Paul asks you what music you would like to listen to while working out and has it ready for you the next day.
What do you like about training with Paul?
It's the personal touch and his obvious concerns for the client. With Paul you're an individual and not just a number. I would have been to a lot of gyms over the years and for the first time in my life I feel like the person I'm training with actually cares about me. I think Paul's fantastic and long may it continue.
Are you happy with the overall setup, for instance the location, the studio?
The location of the studio for me is perfect as it's just up the road from where I live. I train 3 times a week and I love the variety of workouts, it's something different every time I go.
Do you think it's good value?
I do especially considering that in my case it's 1 to 1.
Would you recommend Paul to others?
Having worked with personal trainers, do you have any advice for someone considering doing the same?
I think it's important, especially as you get older to incorporate stretching and flexibility training into your workouts because the joints are getting stiffer. I love the fact that with Paul, we stretch before and after our workouts and I'm much more flexible now because of it. When I started, I was stiff as a poker!
Paul works me hard but stays within my limitations. Again as we get older, it's important to exercise but not these mad bootcamp style workouts. I would have done them in the past and suffered injuries because of them.
